Emanuel Almborg presents recent work alongside a screening of his film Nothing Is Left To Tell (2011). The film documents the artist and eleven other people, all strangers to each other, building a wooden structure on a small island off the coast of Sweden without plans and without speaking to each other.
Accompanying the film are readings from The Field Notes of Jacinta Emilia Cosas, an anthropologist who was invited to the island for 24 hours. Cosas’ notes and photographs, both observational and speculative, attempt to understand the group’s dynamic and pose questions about the relationship between language and community.
