Gasworks’ International Fellowships Programme offers UK-based artists the opportunity to undertake a residency at Triangle Arts Association, New York for 2 months.
Triangle Arts Association is a NYC based non-profit arts organisation founded in 1982 to support international and U.S. artists. Triangle’s core initiatives – Residencies, Workshops and Public Programs – are centred on dialogue, experimentation and the creation of community around art.
Triangle offers free, spacious studios and a dynamic artistic community to support the development of projects with emphasis on dialogue and experimentation. Our studios are located at 20 Jay Street in Brooklyn, New York. Triangle's founding concept and current programs de-emphasise professionalisation and specific outcomes, instead allowing artists generous space, context and community within which to focus on their research, ideas and process.
The Fellowship Comprises:
- Accommodation (private room in shared apartment)
- Private workspace with 24-hour access
- Basic living expenses
- Materials budget
- Economy return flights
- Local travel budget
- Public event/s as agreed with the host organisation, such as an Artist Talk or Open Studio
