During this practical workshop, consulting Medical Herbalist Lucie Bradley will introduce herbal medicine and demonstrate how to prepare and make ointments for medicinal purposes. Participants will learn how to turn a medicinal infused oil into an ointment, taking home a pot of ointment and a bottle of infused oil made from a selection of plants. They will also have the opportunity to taste various medicinal plants.
Lucie Bradley is a medical herbalist based in Glasgow, where she runs a clinic at Neal’s Yard Remedies. Trained at the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine, Lucie has been practicing herbal medicine since 2008. She holds a BSc in Zoology (University of Leeds) and an MSc in Ethnobotany (University of Kent). From 2010-13, Lucie was the project manager of FoodWaterShelter, a sustainable permaculture project in Tanzania.
